Hi readers!
How was your weekend?
I ended up at 3 different independent bookstores, which is basically
LIVING 👏🏻 MY 👏🏻BEST 👏🏻LIFE👏🏻!
I’m pleased to report that they were all bustling.

It got me thinking…would you be interested in a reading retreat and/or a bookstore exploration adventure?  If so, drop your info here.  I’ll keep you in the loop as I develop this concept.

Here are a few books that are on my radar this week…

The Midnight Library – Matt Haig
Read along with us in November!  Our November soThis book club pick is The Midnight Library.  This charming, thought-provoking novel explores the themes of regret, choice, the concept of “a perfect life,” and so much more.   We will have a special guest co-host, master mindset coach Nicole Whiting. Nicole will help facilitate a series of discussions around topics in this book.  I can’t wait to dig in!

I’m Glad My Mom Died – Jennette McCurdy
Trust me.  If you have a teen girl in your life, she wants this book.  Daughter #3, who really doesn’t read (🙄 – I know!), was dying for it.  She was curled up with it all weekend, and currently has a wait list of 5 friends who want it when she’s done.  What’s it all about?  It’s a juicy memoir by iCarly and Sam & Cat star Jennette McCurdy that tackles her struggles as a former child actor–including eating disorders, addiction, and a complicated relationship with her overbearing mother.

Our Missing Hearts – Celeste Ng
What did I treat myself to at the bookstore?  You betcha I grabbed this new novel from Celeste Ng.  I loved her first two books: Everything I Never Told You and Little Fires Everywhere Definitely add them both to your TBR list if you haven’t read them yet. This dystopian novel has been called eerie, prophetic, and it is being compared to The Handmaid’s Tale and 1984.  I am here for it!

What are you reading and loving?  Fill me in when you can.
